Getting around London.

Buy a one day travel card (about Ł6), to use after 9.30am to ride on buses and tube trains. You may visit London transports website to get more information. Most of the visitor of England buy a Lonely planet guide book online. Local tourist information centre in each city provide free information.

From Heathrow Airport - best way into London is underground. (follow sign in arrivals to underground). Buy single ticket to your destination at ticket office and ask for a route map.

If you arrive after 9.30am ask for one day travelcard.

If you arrive early on Saturday ask for weekend travelcard (for Sat & Sun)

If you need street map buy A-Z of London street map Usually we found that taxi and bus are expensive.

If you have a hotel booking ask them by email where the nearest underground station is (and on which line) and how to walk from the station.
