Get into Asford

The Eurostar passenger service to Paris takes just two hours, while Lille is 57 minutes away. Freight and passenger traffic passes through the Eurotunnel departure point at nearby Folkestone, taking just 35 minutes to Calais.

Road links connect Ashford with most European cities within a day and the Port of Dover is within easy reach – some 25 minutes. Ashford also offers ready access to London’s two main airports - Heathrow (90 minutes) and Gatwick just over an hour.

Most transport and highway-related services, such as roadworks, bridges, road safety and traffic are the responsibility of Kent County Council (KCC) although we do have some responsibilities. We work closely with KCC's Kent Highways Service to make sure our roads and streets are safe and clean and parking is managed in the best way for residents and visitors.
